In a suburb of Paris, four hostages were freed from a restaurant

Employees of a restaurant who had been taken hostage by a man were released, according to BFMTV, citing law enforcement sources.

The man reportedly took four staff members hostage after lunch. Journalists noted that they were freed a few hours later following the intervention of the police counterterrorism unit.

Sources from BFMTV stated that the four restaurant employees were released after three hours of captivity and were unharmed. Prosecutors reported that the man was arrested and taken into custody. He will undergo a psychiatric evaluation. An investigation into the incident has also been launched.
