Reports: Israel gearing up to strike Iranian nuclear facilities

Israel is reportedly gearing up for a potential strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, with full consensus among its political and security leadership, according to the Israeli news portal Walla.

A senior official confirmed Israel’s technological readiness, emphasizing that the nation will not let Iran acquire nuclear weapons. Economic sanctions, the source added, serve only as a temporary deterrent and can’t dismantle Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Last month, Axios revealed that Israel’s late-October attack targeted a highly classified nuclear weapons research facility at Iran’s Parchin military complex. This strike, tied to Iran’s defunct Amad nuclear program, reportedly disrupted Tehran’s ability to pursue nuclear arms research.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed hitting Iranian military targets in late October, a direct response to attacks on Israel earlier that month. However, the strikes avoided Iran’s nuclear and oil facilities, focusing instead on military assets.
