A 45-year-old Volkswagen driver was detained in Poland, suspected of possessing a large amount of drugs and attempting to avoid a stop for inspection.
The incident occurred after a prolonged chase that began in Warsaw and ended in Marki. The pursuit started on Pilsudski Street, where the driver tried to escape, driving through Szkretewski, Hussaria, Zagloba, and Kurcewicz Streets. The chase ended on Vishneva Street in Marki, when the car crashed into a tree.
When the police approached the vehicle, they found two other passengers: a 21-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man. During the inspection of the driver, documents issued under different names were found, as well as an object resembling a firearm with rubber bullets.
Drugs were discovered hidden in various places and packages inside the car. The passengers were arrested, and the 45-year-old driver and the 21-year-old woman were handed over to the local prosecutor’s office in Wołomin, where they were charged.
The driver will face charges for possession of a large amount of drugs, involvement in the illegal trade of psychotropic substances, and attempting to avoid a stop. The woman was charged with possessing a significant amount of drugs. Both suspects were taken into custody for three months.
