Slovakia to reduce support for Ukrainian refugees starting March 1, 2025

Starting March 1, 2025, Slovakia will cut back its support for Ukrainian refugees, according to The Slovak Spectator.

Under the new policy, refugees will be allowed to stay in asylum centers for no more than 60 days, down from the previous 120 days. Similarly, living allowances will be limited to the first 60 days, rather than 120 days as was the case since July of this year.

These reductions will not apply to vulnerable groups, including seniors over 65, children under five, and their sole guardians.
