Denmark: 1 in 10 vehicles on the road is electric

Denmark is now home to 325,000 electric cars, according to Statistics Denmark, which means one in every ten cars on the road is electric.

In November alone, the number of electric cars grew by 14,181, with 8,768 being newly registered, while the rest were used cars, mostly imported from abroad. As of now, electric cars represent 11.5 percent of Denmark’s entire car fleet, reports the Danish state broadcaster, DR.

To put that in perspective, electric vehicles only made up about 1 percent of Denmark’s car fleet back in 2020.
