Czech Republic seizes largest methamphetamine shipment worth $4.1 million

On December 18, law enforcement authorities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia confiscated a record-breaking 100 kilograms of methamphetamine.

According to Radio Prague International, citing the National Drug Control Center, the seizure was part of an operation codenamed “Vivaldi.” Six suspects have been charged. Police estimate that if the drugs had been sold, the perpetrators could have made 100 million Czech crowns (approximately $4.1 million).

In addition to methamphetamine, officers also confiscated 30 kilograms of hashish and cocaine. The accused face prison sentences ranging from 10 to 18 years.
