Putin and Trump topped the list of most popular foreign leaders in Greece

Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump have been ranked as the most popular foreign leaders in Greece, according to a recent survey by the MRB company.

The survey, which asked Greek citizens about 11 foreign leaders, found that 31.8% of respondents held a positive opinion of Putin, although nearly 48% had a negative view. Trump received positive ratings from 29.8% of those surveyed, with more than 44% expressing negative views. French President Emmanuel Macron followed in third place with 27.7% positive ratings and 42% negative ratings.

Other leaders ranked in the middle include Chinese President Xi Jinping (17.2% positive, 37.9% negative), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (15.4% positive, 60.4% negative), and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (15.3% positive, 52.4% negative).

The survey revealed that the most negative opinions were directed toward Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, with 80% of respondents expressing disapproval and only 6.5% showing support. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (56.8% negative, 9.3% positive) and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (60.6% negative, 11.8% positive) also received predominantly negative ratings.
