On Sunday morning, a tragedy occurred in southwestern Turkey — an ambulance helicopter crashed, resulting in the deaths of all four people on board, according to Hürriyet.
The helicopter was carrying two pilots, a doctor, and a medical worker. They had taken off from the city of Muğla to pick up a patient from the neighboring province of Antalya.
During takeoff, the helicopter collided with the hospital building and crashed nearby. Muğla Governor Idris Akbiik reported that there was thick fog at the time of takeoff, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu will travel to Muğla for further investigation.
