Four injured in Prague apartment explosion, fireworks suspected as cause

An explosion in a Prague apartment on the evening of December 24 left four people injured, with initial reports suggesting fireworks may have been the cause.

The Prague firefighters responded to the incident around midnight, providing first aid to the victims before handing the case over to the police.

Jana Poštová, a spokesperson for Prague’s emergency services, confirmed that the four injured individuals sustained minor injuries: three suffered burns, while one experienced hearing damage.

Jan Danek, a spokesperson for the Prague police, added that the explosion was likely caused by fireworks.
