Bus crash in Norway: three dead, several others in critical condition

A tragic bus accident in northern Norway has resulted in the deaths of three people, with several others reported to be in critical condition. Among the passengers were foreign nationals.

According to NRK, the police confirmed that the bus, which was traveling from Narvik to the Lofoten Islands, had 58 people on board. The bus, operated by the Boreal company, was on a regular route.

Rescue operations have successfully evacuated all passengers from the overturned bus, which was partially submerged in water. Three people have died from their injuries, while four others remain in critical condition.

The passengers included citizens from eight different countries, although authorities have not disclosed specific nationalities.

Initially, it was believed that there could have been up to 70 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
