France: 100,000 police to be deployed for New Year’s Eve

Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot announced on Tuesday during The Great Interview with Romain Desarres on CNEWS that 100,000 police officers and gendarmes will be deployed across France for New Year’s Eve.

“This significant deployment will cover the entire national territory,” Tabarot emphasized. He also mentioned security measures affecting certain areas, noting, “There are festive locations that won’t be serviced for safety reasons, and transport will be free in some instances.”

The minister’s remarks highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety during one of the busiest nights of the year, underscoring the importance of these precautionary efforts.
