Poland’s Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski, has disclosed his salary on social media. He shared the information in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Sikorski posted a screenshot from his banking app showing a payment from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for December. The screenshot revealed that he received 9,892 zlotys (over two thousand dollars).
“It’s nice that the government is getting a 5% raise. It’s also good that the minimum wage is increasing,” Sikorski commented.
In the comments, Sikorski added that he “does not receive miles, bonuses, or allowances from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.” He also clarified, “I don’t have a service apartment or parliamentary allowances since I am not a parliamentarian.”
Sikorski mentioned that the only additional income he receives from the Ministry is a daily allowance for foreign trips, which amounts to about 45 euros per day while abroad.
