More than 700 current and former employees of McDonald’s in the UK have filed a class-action lawsuit against the fast-food chain over allegations of workplace harassment, according to the law firm Leigh Day.
Over 700 clients, many of whom are under the age of 19, have requested the firm to file the lawsuit on their behalf. The claims involve more than 450 McDonald’s restaurants, the company said in a statement.
The employees allege that they experienced discrimination, harassment, homophobia, and racism during their employment. Leigh Day plans to seek fair compensation for the affected individuals.
