The Centre for Migration Control (CMC) has released the UK’s first-ever migrant crime report, revealing alarming statistics about foreign nationals’ involvement in crime.
Former Conservative leadership contender Robert Jenrick emphasized the public’s right to know these facts, while Nigel Farage, leader of Reform, has long pushed for such data to be unveiled. Now, it’s finally in the spotlight.
Startling Arrest Figures
Freedom of Information requests sent to all 43 territorial police forces in England and Wales enabled the CMC to compile this groundbreaking report. From January to October 2024, 131,000 foreign nationals were arrested, representing 16.1% of all arrests—despite foreign nationals making up only 9% of the population.
Here’s where it gets concerning:
- Foreign nationals are arrested at nearly double the rate of British citizens (24 per 1,000 compared to 12 per 1,000).
- They accounted for more than 25% of sexual offense arrests.
- The sexual offense arrest rate for foreign nationals is 3.5 times higher than for Brits.
In just the first ten months of 2024, 2,775 foreign nationals were arrested for rape across 29 police forces. If extrapolated to all 43 forces, that number could exceed 3,600.
Migrant Crime by Nationality
The CMC also identified the nationalities most frequently arrested and those with the highest arrest rates per capita. Among the worst offenders were individuals from Albania, Afghanistan, Iraq, Algeria, and Somalia. While countries like Poland and Romania had higher arrest numbers due to larger migrant populations, the arrest rates per 1,000 individuals were significantly higher for the aforementioned nationalities.
Broader Context of Migrant Crime
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimates there are 5.5 million foreign nationals in the UK. Using this population data, the foreign national arrest rate stands at nearly 24 per 1,000, double the national average of 12 per 1,000. For sexual offenses specifically, the rate soars to 164.6 per 100,000 among foreign nationals compared to 48 per 100,000 for Brits.
Impact on Public Safety
Robert Bates, Research Director at the CMC, didn’t mince words when reacting to the findings:
“Mass migration has made us all less safe, particularly women and girls. We’ve known this intuitively, but the Home Office has long refused to release the data to confirm it. Now, we can’t ignore these statistics.”
Bates urged the government to take swift action:
“Foreign nationals who break the law should be deported immediately. The Home Office has prioritized appeasing open-border advocates over protecting the public. It’s time to reverse this catastrophic situation before it unravels our social fabric.”
A Call for Change
This report has sparked urgent calls for stricter immigration enforcement and a national conversation about the consequences of mass migration. As the data sheds light on the rising violence against women and the disproportionate crime rates among certain migrant groups, policymakers face mounting pressure to address the safety concerns of British citizens.
