New York court grants Trump ‘unconditional release’ in case over payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels

A New York court has granted Trump “unconditional release” in the case of falsifying business records related to the payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels.

According to CNN, during the trial, Trump claimed that it was not him but his accountants who paid the legal expenses.

The legal expenses were recorded by accountants as legal fees, not as construction or repair costs. I am being charged because they recorded them that way. This is incredible, Trump said.

The investigation alleges that a month before Trump’s victory in the 2016 election, his lawyer paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about their alleged affair from nearly a decade ago.

On April 4, 2023, a New York court filed charges in the case involving the payments to Daniels. According to the investigation’s version of events, Trump reimbursed his lawyer for the spent funds, recording it as compensation for legal costs through the Trump Organization, with a fictitious legal advance listed.
