In the early hours of January 10, operations at Warsaw’s Frederic Chopin Airport were disrupted due to a power supply system failure.
The outage, which occurred around 3 a.m. during routine system testing, led to the suspension of passenger services, including flight check-ins and other essential procedures.
“The airport’s technical teams are working on-site to fully restore system functionality,” the airport administration announced on X (formerly Twitter). As a result, passengers faced long queues, and flight information screens went offline, leaving travelers uncertain about schedules.
By morning, the airport’s press office confirmed that the primary issue had been resolved. Flights have resumed, and passengers can now proceed with standard check-in processes.
In a subsequent social media update, officials advised ticket holders for January 10 to head to the airport but to stay informed through announcements from the airport and their airlines.
