Gas explosion at Bosch facility in Germany: there are casualties

On Tuesday morning, a gas explosion occurred at a Bosch facility in the city of Reutlingen, Germany, resulting in the deaths of two people.

According to the newspaper Bild, citing local police, the incident was caused by a silane gas leak from a cylinder stored outdoors. The explosion happened during a leak inspection.

A 52-year-old man died at the scene, while his 44-year-old colleague succumbed to severe injuries in the hospital. Both victims were employees of an external company. The investigation into the incident has been handed over to the criminal police department.
