During Monday’s Fox Business Network broadcast of “Evening Edit,” Border Czar Tom Homan announced that deportations are slated to begin on Tuesday, with a primary focus on removing individuals who pose threats to public safety and national security.
These actions, Homan emphasized, won’t be limited to specific cities. Instead, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices across the nation will actively enforce the law starting Tuesday morning.
Homan underscored the administration’s priorities, stating, “Look, the president’s been clear that, right out of the gate, we’re going to concentrate on public safety threats and national security threats. So, I can’t believe that any elected politician — I don’t care what party you’re from, why would you not want public safety threats out of your communities? That’s your number one responsibility as an elected official — the protection of your communities.”
When host Elizabeth MacDonald asked for confirmation, “So, the deportations are coming tomorrow?” Homan responded unequivocally: “Yeah, ICE is going to start doing their job tomorrow. They haven’t been able to do the job for the last four years, and now they’re going to start enforcing the law like they should be.”
MacDonald further inquired about potential targeting of sanctuary cities. However, Homan clarified, “It’s not a specific sanctuary city. They’re going to do it throughout the country, and we have offices throughout the country. Every ICE office is going to be out there enforcing the law, starting tomorrow morning.”
The announcement marks a clear shift toward intensified enforcement, with the administration prioritizing public safety and national security concerns. Homan’s remarks signal a significant change after years of limited action, positioning ICE to take a more active role across the United States.
