A teenager in Britain has been sentenced to 52 years in prison for killing three girls.

The 17-year-old boy of Rwandan descent was found guilty of attacking a children’s dance studio with a knife, sparking widespread protests in the country.

The Liverpool Crown Court sentenced Axel Rudakubana for the murder of three young girls in Southport. The hearing took place on January 23, and according to agencies, he was sentenced to 51 years and 190 days. Given his age at the time of the crime, the full sentence cannot be applied. The judge noted that there is a high likelihood that Rudakubana will never be released.

Additionally, he was found guilty of 13 other crimes, including attempted murder of ten people, including eight children, as well as the production of ricin and possession of materials related to the terrorist organization “Al-Qaeda.”
