Former U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed potential destinations for his first overseas visit if he returns to the White House. Among the options, he mentioned Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, CNN reports.
Discussing the decision, Trump spoke with reporters aboard Air Force One.
It could be Saudi Arabia or the United Kingdom. Traditionally, first visits have been to the UK. But in 2017, I chose Saudi Arabia because they agreed to purchase $450 billion worth of American goods. If a similar offer arises, I would do it again, Trump noted.
He also stated his intention to hold a phone call with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer within the next 24 hours, praising the British leader.
During his first term as president, Trump made his first overseas visit to Saudi Arabia, beginning a nine-day tour of Middle Eastern and European countries in Riyadh. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Denmark and the U.S. have agreed to discuss Arctic security issues involving Greenland.
