Four billion a day: Elon Musk proposes massive US spending cuts

Elon Musk has proposed cutting U.S. spending by $4 billion a day to reduce the budget deficit from two trillion to one trillion dollars.

He made this statement on the social network X. Musk believes this approach could achieve zero inflation by next year. He also noted that the number of government positions that could be replaced with simple macros is staggering. However, Musk did not specify which particular expenses are to be cut.

Donald Trump has already taken steps to freeze foreign aid, including aid to Ukraine. As a result, funding for federal grants and loans within the U.S. was halted.

The new White House press secretary, Karoline Livitt, stated during her first briefing that the Biden administration has spent funds recklessly over the past four years, which has been one of the causes of the country’s inflationary crisis.
