U.S. President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Ukraine and Russia are progressing successfully.
During a briefing at the White House, he noted that Washington is actively engaging with both countries and holding discussions with various parties.
We are dealing with Ukraine and Russia, we have scheduled meetings and negotiations. I think the discussions are actually going quite well, Trump said, without going into details.
U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, also emphasized that both sides will have to make compromises to achieve peace.
Earlier, Kellogg warned that a peaceful resolution of the conflict would not be possible without concessions from both Kyiv and Moscow.
According to him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already expressed readiness to reconsider his position on territorial issues, and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will also have to adjust his demands.
