More than half of Americans have a positive view of Donald Trump’s performance as president, according to a survey conducted by CBS News and YouGov. 53% of respondents approve of his actions, while 47% express dissatisfaction.
Nearly 70% of those surveyed describe Trump as a “tough” person, and more than 60% call him “energetic.” The survey also revealed Americans’ opinions on key political issues. For example, 59% support Trump’s program for deporting illegal immigrants, while 41% oppose it. Additionally, 54% of respondents gave a positive evaluation of Trump’s policy on the Israel-Hamas conflict, while 46% disagreed with his approach to the Gaza situation.
The survey was conducted from February 5 to 7, 2025, with 2,175 American participants. The margin of error is approximately 2.5 percentage points.
Earlier, ABC News reported that Trump had already set a record for the number of executive orders signed in his first three weeks as president, surpassing the achievements of other U.S. leaders since Harry Truman. In just 2.5 weeks, he signed 54 executive orders, more than any other president in their first 100 days in office.
