Car in Munich crashes into crowd, injuring 15

In Munich, a car plowed into a crowd of pedestrians, injuring at least 15 people, Bild reports.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred during a strike by social service workers organized by the Verdi trade union. A Smart car drove into the protesters.

Later, Munich police confirmed that the driver had been arrested at the scene. He was identified as a 24-year-old man. German media report that he acted deliberately.

It is noted that the incident took place a day before the start of the 61st Munich Security Conference, which will last for three days.
