Trump’s special envoy travels to Europe for Ukraine talks

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s special representative for Ukraine and Russia, General Keith Kellogg, has traveled to Europe.

He announced this on the social media platform X (Twitter), stating that his goal is to meet with allies and partners willing to work with the U.S. to end the war in Ukraine and restore stability in Europe.

According to a statement from the U.S. State Department, Kellogg will visit Germany, Belgium, and Ukraine from February 13 to 22. In Ukraine, he plans to meet with officials and civilians who have endured nearly three years of war.

Earlier, on February 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that he had discussed further contacts with Trump during a “lengthy conversation,” which touched on the possibility of achieving peace and coordinating efforts at the team level.

Prior to this, Trump held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Following the discussions, Trump stated that both leaders agreed on the need to “stop the millions of deaths” caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine.

On the same day, newly appointed U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen arrived in Kyiv for talks on the use of Ukraine’s natural resources.
