Ukrainian wedding in Prague ends with police called and people injured

On Saturday evening, a Ukrainian wedding took place at a restaurant in the Stodůlky district of Prague, repeatedly drawing the attention of the police.

The celebration was marred by conflicts, requiring intervention from law enforcement and emergency services. According to police reports, patrols were dispatched three times to Petržilková Street during the night due to brawls among intoxicated guests. In one incident, an assault occurred, resulting in injuries to one person.

Eyewitnesses told journalists that the majority of guests were from Ukraine, and traces of blood remained on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. In addition to regular patrol officers, a riot control unit armed with tear gas guns—typically used for dispersing demonstrations—was also deployed to the scene.
