In the latest survey conducted by IBRiS for Onet, Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski remains at the top of the trust ranking for public figures, while Sławomir Mentzen, the candidate from the “Confederation,” has reached a personal milestone in the ratings.
The portal highlighted that Trzaskowski, once again, leads the trust ranking with a score of 43.5% (19.5% completely trust him, 24% mostly trust him). “This is 2.3 percentage points higher than in the January survey. 44.8% of respondents do not trust the presidential candidate from the ‘Civic Coalition,’ while 10.4% have a neutral opinion towards him,” the article stated.
In second place is incumbent President Andrzej Duda, who is trusted by 37.8% of those surveyed (12.2% completely trust him, 25.6% mostly trust him). This marks a 3.2 percentage-point decrease compared to the previous survey.
Third place goes to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, with 36.7% of survey participants trusting him.
Former Prime Minister Donald Tusk ranks fourth with 35.7% trust (a decrease of 2.6 percentage points). In fifth place is Karol Nawrocki, the presidential candidate supported by the opposition “Law and Justice” party, who has the trust of 33.2% of citizens. This is a decline of 5.3 percentage points from the previous month.
The top ten includes Szymon Hołownia, leader of the “Poland 2050” party and Speaker of the Sejm, with 32.6% trust; Jarosław Kaczyński, leader of the “Law and Justice” party, with 31.8%; Włodzimierz Czarzasty, leader of the Left Party, with 28.6%; Sławomir Mentzen, presidential candidate from “Confederation,” who achieved a personal record of 28.3% trust; and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz with 28.2% trust.
“Sławomir Mentzen is demonstrating the best result in the history of IBRiS trust surveys for Onet since his debut in April 2023. Since December of last year, the politician has gained 6.1 percentage points,” the publication noted.
The survey, conducted by the Institute for Market and Social Research (IBRiS) on February 23-24, 2025, was based on a nationwide sample of 1,100 people using a standardized computer interview and questionnaire method.
