French President Emmanuel Macron’s trip to Washington, accompanied by his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, is “under consideration.”
This was announced on Wednesday after a meeting of the French Cabinet by government spokesperson Sophie Primas.
The spokesperson did not specify the date of the trip, which is expected to take place “in the near future,” while Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to address the French people on Wednesday evening before the summit in Brussels on Thursday, which will focus on European defense.
Prior to this, the spokesperson had stated that France is working to restore ties between the United States and Ukraine in order to achieve “a lasting and sustainable peace.”
