In the North Sea, off the coast of the United Kingdom, the British Coast Guard is conducting a rescue operation following the collision of an oil tanker and a cargo ship.
According to The Guardian, several rescue lifeboats and a Coast Guard helicopter have been sent to the scene. A Coast Guard plane and nearby vessels with firefighting equipment have also arrived.
Preliminary reports suggest that the oil tanker caught fire after the collision. A representative of the Royal Coast Guard stated that efforts are currently being coordinated to deal with the aftermath of the incident off the coast of East Yorkshire.
