Foreign Muslim teens attack Italian girl for eating during Ramadan, assault bus driver

A brutal attack unfolded on an Italian bus when two foreign teenage girls assaulted a local passenger for eating a sandwich during Ramadan. The incident, which escalated to violence against the driver, has reignited concerns over safety on public transport.

The altercation began on a G-line bus between Cremona and Spinadesco. The two teens reportedly lashed out at an Italian girl, yelling, “You bitch! You can’t eat, it’s Ramadan!” before physically attacking her. As chaos erupted, the driver intervened, demanding they leave, but instead, they turned on him—punching him, breaking his glasses, and scratching his face.

The attackers fled before police arrived, leaving the injured driver to complete his route before seeking medical attention. Diagnosed with facial trauma, he now plans to file a formal complaint. The victim of the initial assault also suffered visible bruises and may take legal action.

The driver revealed this wasn’t an isolated case. Just weeks earlier, he had been threatened by the same group, calling him a “bastard” and vowing to attack him. He noted that such incidents typically involve minors, often non-EU citizens, who continue returning despite police intervention.

This attack adds to a growing pattern of violence against transport workers. Last year, a train conductor in Bologna lost two teeth after being beaten by a North African passenger during a ticket check. In Genoa, another conductor was stabbed by two migrants, sparking a national strike among rail workers demanding stronger protections.

With tensions escalating, Italian transport workers are calling for urgent action to curb the rising aggression they face on the job.
