Trump won’t resume arms shipments to Ukraine before Zelensky resigns as president

U.S. President Donald Trump has made a final decision not to resume American arms supplies to Ukraine as long as Volodymyr Zelensky remains president. This was reported by Bild, citing sources familiar with the situation.

According to the publication, after a recent meeting at the White House, Trump became convinced that Zelensky is not a partner but rather an obstacle to achieving peace. Sources claim that behind closed doors, the head of the White House is discussing possible ways to exert political pressure on the Ukrainian leader to force him out of office.

Earlier, statements from the U.S. suggested that a key condition for resuming military aid to Kyiv was a demonstration of readiness for negotiations and diplomatic conflict resolution. However, according to Bild, Trump’s stance may be even tougher—he reportedly believes that arms supplies should be completely halted until there is a change of power in Ukraine.
