Starting in 2027, Poland plans to offer voluntary military training to 100,000 civilians annually as part of efforts to increase its army reserves.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed confidence in the availability of enough candidates. According to him, the government’s task now is to ensure that anyone interested has the opportunity to undergo training.
The program will be available to both men and women aged 18 to 60. According to the plans, volunteers will first undergo a one-month basic course, after which they can continue training for up to 11 months in a specialized program, such as learning to operate heavy machinery.
