French President Emmanuel Macron risks clashing with Donald Trump over his stance on supporting Ukraine, Bloomberg reports.
According to the outlet, Macron is actively advocating for continued military aid to Kyiv, while Trump, in contrast, is focusing on finding ways to achieve a ceasefire. In this context, the French leader recently held a meeting with military officials from more than 30 countries, which could deepen disagreements with the potential future U.S. president.
Russia, for its part, claims that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder conflict resolution and draw NATO countries into the confrontation. The Kremlin also argues that the increasing flow of Western weapons obstructs negotiations and may have negative consequences.
