On Monday, Trump held a Cabinet meeting attended by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, who heads DOGE. The American leader praised the department for its efforts and emphasized that spending cuts must proceed regardless of political consequences.

DOGE was established at Trump’s initiative to “eliminate wasteful spending and restructure federal agencies.” According to House Speaker Mike Johnson, in February, the department uncovered “shocking” instances of federal expenditures that had not been approved by Congress.
