Knife attack in Amsterdam: five people injured

On March 27, five people were injured in a knife attack in the center of Amsterdam.

The incident took place near Dam Square in the heart of Amsterdam. According to Het Parool, the attack occurred in front of a fabric store.

The man who stabbed the five people has already been arrested, and part of Dam Square was cordoned off by the police. A helicopter was sent to evacuate the injured, reports NOS.

Due to the attack, a session of the Amsterdam city council was interrupted.

As of now, the condition of the victims, as well as the motives and identity of the attacker, remain unknown.
