Myanmar struck by 5.1-magnitude aftershock as rescue efforts continue

Myanmar experienced another aftershock on Sunday morning, with a 5.1-magnitude earthquake hitting near Mandalay. This follows a devastating 7.7-magnitude quake on Friday that has claimed at least 1,644 lives.

The latest tremor is part of a series of aftershocks affecting the region, though there have been no immediate reports of additional damage.

Meanwhile, emergency teams continue search and rescue efforts in the worst-affected areas, working to locate survivors and provide aid following Friday’s catastrophic earthquake.
