Four dead and six injured in fatal collision involving minibus and truck in Austria

A tragic traffic accident occurred on the morning of April 1 near Seebenstein, Austria, when a minibus carrying Ukrainian citizens collided head-on with a truck on the highway heading towards Vienna.

According to law enforcement, the crash resulted in the deaths of four individuals, with six others injured, four of them seriously. Some passengers in the minibus were trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by rescuers using specialized equipment.

Police spokesperson Johann Baumschlager stated that the truck was likely pulling out of a parking lot when the collision happened. He confirmed that the minibus passengers were Ukrainian citizens and emphasized that the incident was not related to smuggling or a police pursuit.

All injured parties were transported to the hospital. The rescue operation involved three helicopters, three ambulance teams, nine rescue vehicles, and nine fire trucks.
