Greta Thunberg was forcibly removed from a protest in Sweden

In Sweden, police used force to remove environmental activist Greta Thunberg from a demonstration held at the entrance of the annual meeting of one of the country’s largest banks, SEB. This was reported by Aftonbladet.

According to the police, the protesters did not have permission to hold the demonstration. As a result, eleven activists, including Thunberg, were charged with disobeying law enforcement.

Thunberg frequently participates in protests not only in Sweden but also in other countries. In November 2024, she joined a demonstration by the Georgian opposition in Tbilisi against the results of the parliamentary elections. In October, she was detained in Brussels for defying authorities during a climate protest. In September, she was arrested in Copenhagen, and in July, police removed her from a demonstration in The Hague.
