Washington may hold a massive military parade in honor of the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army

U.S. authorities are considering the possibility of holding a large-scale military parade in the nation’s capital to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States Army, which will be celebrated on June 14.

Coincidentally, former President Donald Trump will also turn 79 on the same day, CNN reports. According to the Washington City Paper, the proposed parade route could stretch for 4 miles (approximately 6.5 kilometers), from the Pentagon in Arlington to the White House. This outlet was the first to report on the planned event.

Sources in the armed forces and local government confirmed the parade plans to The Hill and NewsNation, but noted that no official approval has been given yet — no formal requests or orders have been submitted so far. For now, local authorities have only been informed of the potential event.
