Estonia sets all-time April temperature record

On Friday, a new all-time April temperature record was officially set in Estonia: in the southeastern part of the country, the air warmed up to nearly 28 degrees Celsius.

According to the Environmental Department, the maximum air temperature in the city of Valga on Friday reached 27.8°C.

The previous record was set in the town of Kunda, where on April 24, 2000, the temperature reached 27.6°C.

In the entire history of recorded measurements, the air temperature in Estonia had never risen above 27°C before April 24—this marks the first time it has happened.
