Police in Saxony-Anhalt intervened in an unauthorized party with riots

In the commune of Berndorf (Saxony-Anhalt, Germany), a private birthday celebration on Easter night escalated into mass disorder, prompting police intervention. The incident was reported by Spiegel.

Originally intended as an intimate gathering of around 30 guests, the party quickly got out of control. According to eyewitnesses, a large number of uninvited individuals arrived, bringing the total number of attendees to around 250. Police believe many of them may have entered the premises without permission.

During the event, some participants set off fireworks and posted banned symbols and stickers, including those linked to unconstitutional organizations. The resulting property damage is estimated at approximately €1,000.

Authorities were alerted to the gathering at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found about 80 people still at the scene, including a suspect believed to have incited the unrest. The rest had already left by the time police arrived.

The party was shut down, identities of those present were recorded, and an investigation has been launched into violations of public order under aggravating circumstances.
