A strong fire broke out at the town hall in Paris on the night of Monday, January 27, resulting in the bell tower, about thirty meters high, catching fire. This was reported by Agence France-Presse.
Around 150 firefighters and six trucks arrived at the scene. The cause of the fire remains unknown. The flames reached the 36-meter bell tower, but there were no reported casualties.
The town hall where the fire occurred was built in 1876 and features a building style that blends several historical periods, inspired by Renaissance, Louis XIII, and Louis XIV architecture.
