Over half of Americans believe Trump will pursue third term

A majority of Americans believe former President Donald Trump will seek a third presidential term, according to a recent YouGov poll published by The Hill.

The survey, conducted with 2,900 respondents on February 25, found that 52% of Americans think Trump will attempt to run again. Of those, 21% are “certain” he will, while 31% consider it a possibility. On the other hand, 16% believe a re-election bid is unlikely, and 18% are confident he will not pursue another term.

Despite being constitutionally barred from serving more than two terms, Trump, who will soon be 79, suggested last week that he does not rule out the option. “Should I run again? You’ll tell me,” he said.

Recently, Republican Congressman Andy Ogles proposed a constitutional amendment that would allow U.S. presidents to serve a third term.
