Trump: Peace in Ukraine will be “fairly soon or it won’t be at all”

U.S. President Donald Trump has urged for swift action in bringing an end to the war in Ukraine, stating that a ceasefire will be reached “fairly soon or it won’t be at all.”

His comments came after a conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington.

Trump’s recent comments on the Ukraine conflict have raised concerns among European leaders. There is growing fear that Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin may reach a ceasefire agreement that excludes European involvement, potentially leading to significant territorial concessions by Ukraine.

Earlier, Trump hosted Starmer at the White House for talks covering Ukraine as well as trade relations between the U.S. and the UK.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with Trump today, with his plane reportedly having already landed in Washington. The meeting is set to take place at 11:00 AM local time.
