Plane crashes into parking lot near nursing home in Pennsylvania

A single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashed into a parking lot near a nursing home in Pennsylvania yesterday afternoon.

Following the impact, the plane caught fire, but preliminary reports confirm that all five passengers aboard the aircraft survived the crash. There has been no information released regarding their current condition. An eyewitness, who observed the plane’s flight, described the moment of the crash: “Then it nosedived, and a fireball immediately appeared.”

The fire that erupted after the crash caused extensive damage, burning more than 10 vehicles. The flames came dangerously close to spreading to the nearby three-story nursing home building.

“It’s a real miracle that no one was killed or injured on the ground,” said Police Chief Duane Fisher.

While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, air traffic control recordings reveal that the pilot had reported an open door, which he intended to land to address.
