Putin and Saudi Crown Prince discuss OPEC+ commitments and Ukraine crisis

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the importance of honoring their OPEC+ agreements and addressed efforts to bring peace to Ukraine during a phone call, according to a Kremlin statement released late on Thursday.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling their obligations under the OPEC+ agreement. Putin also expressed gratitude to the crown prince for Saudi Arabia’s role in mediating talks between Russian and U.S. diplomats during their February meeting.

The crown prince reiterated Saudi Arabia’s dedication to facilitating dialogue and supporting a political solution to the Ukraine crisis, as reported by the Saudi state news agency on Friday.
