A chilling FBI affidavit unsealed Friday reveals that a Wisconsin teen, Nikita Casap, allegedly murdered his parents to bankroll a disturbing plan to assassinate former President Donald Trump and shift the blame onto Russia.
Casap, 17, faces multiple charges including two counts of first-degree intentional homicide after authorities discovered the bodies of his mother and stepfather, both shot execution-style, inside their Waukesha home. Police caught up with him in Kansas days later, driving a stolen car loaded with $14,000 in cash, family passports, their dog, an unloaded revolver, ammunition, and two phones.
But what they uncovered next was even more shocking.
According to the FBI, Casap had drafted a manifesto urging Trump’s assassination as a way to “accelerate the collapse” of the U.S. government. The document, titled Accelerate the Collapse, called for political violence to ignite chaos and supposedly defend the white race. “The white race cannot survive unless America collapses,” the manifesto claimed, calling Jewish-led governments the target.
Investigators say Casap had plans well beyond the murders. The affidavit alleges he wired money toward purchasing explosives and a drone—gear the FBI believes he intended to use in a large-scale attack. Conversations found on his phone show he communicated with unnamed individuals over Telegram, asking chilling questions like: “What country will be blamed for the crime?” The answer: “Russia.”
One conversation, tied to a Ukrainian phone number, appeared to lay out his potential escape route. “How long will I need to hide before I will be moved to Ukraine?” he asked, later inquiring whether he could “live a normal life” there, even if his involvement in the assassination became known.
The unsealed affidavit also details screenshots of his three-page manifesto, created in late February. It discusses plans to destabilize the U.S. government and justify political killings. “By getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president, that is guaranteed to bring in some chaos,” Casap allegedly wrote.
Casap is currently being held on $1 million bail. In addition to the murder charges, he’s facing seven other felony counts including hiding a corpse and identity theft. He’s scheduled to appear in court again on May 7.
Law enforcement officials say the investigation is ongoing, as they work to identify others potentially involved in the plot.
