Police say they do not rule out the possibility of his arrest and personal interrogation.
The Ministry of Justice of South Korea has banned President Yoon Suk-yeol from leaving the country, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, the Yonhap news agency reports that law enforcement does not rule out the arrest of Yoon Suk-yeol without a warrant, provided that all necessary requirements are met. A personal interrogation of the president is also possible.
There are no human or physical restrictions for the subject of the investigation, said Woo Chung-soo, head of the National Investigation Bureau of the National Police Agency.
The South Korean president has been named a suspect in an investigation into charges of treason, mutiny, and abuse of power. The police have formed a special team of 150 investigators to look into the case.
