Donald Trump, preparing to assume the presidency of the United States, plans to sign more than 100 executive orders on his first day in office.
These measures will focus on strengthening border security, deporting illegal immigrants, and advancing other political priorities. Trump discussed his plans with Republican senators, emphasizing that most initiatives will take effect immediately after the inauguration on January 20. Trump’s senior advisor, Stephen Miller, provided details on border security and immigration control policies.
Senators highlighted the scale of the planned measures, which include tightening control on the U.S.-Mexico border, reforms in energy policy, gender policies, and vaccination mandates. Many of the executive orders are also expected to reverse decisions made by Joe Biden’s administration.
Several European officials have expressed concerns that the potential repeal of Biden’s sanctions-related orders could impact the European Union’s position on Russia.
