Five additional individuals have been arrested in the Netherlands in connection with incidents surrounding a match in Amsterdam involving the Israeli team, after which attacks were carried out on Israeli fans in the city.
The police reported five new arrests related to the disturbances following the match with the Israeli team. Those detained are suspected of using force against others. The arrested individuals are men aged 18 to 37 from Amsterdam, Heerhugowaard, and Utrecht.
Two of them are suspected of committing unlawful acts before the match, while three are suspected of doing so afterward. One of those detained was released from custody but remains a suspect.
The police have not ruled out further arrests and are asking witnesses with photo or video evidence of the incidents to come forward. Additionally, they reported that four of those arrested will remain in custody for another two weeks, including two teenagers aged 16 and 17.
It is worth recalling that on the evening and night of November 7, riots broke out in Amsterdam following a match involving the Israeli football team. Despite a significant police presence and a ban on pro-Palestinian demonstrations near the arena, numerous attacks on Israeli fans occurred in the city after the match.
